With compassion and respect, Martin's House and Barn is helping families and future generations with their basic needs of food, clothing, and housing.

      • Your Donation Makes a Difference

        stability and self-sufficiency.

Your generosity directly impacts those in crisis, offering them hope and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Every contribution strengthens the foundation of compassion and support that makes our community stronger.

Martin’s House & Barn provides a safety net for individuals and families needing special support during difficult times in their lives. The organization was founded in 1983 as St. Martin’s Barn by the Benedictine Sisters of Ridgely, Maryland.

A non-denominational non-profit that has served low-income and homeless on the Eastern Shore for over 40 years, Martin’s House & Barn helps clients find resources to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency while providing essential shelter, food, and clothing to those in need.

Martin’s House & Barn honors St. Martin de Porres, a Peruvian monk born of a slave in 1579 in Lima and known for his values of racial harmony, humility, unremitting care, and concern for the poor, children, and the sick.

Offering a Family Shelter, an Emergency Food Pantry, a Thrift Shop, and Homelessness Prevention Services, Martin’s House & Barn has transformed thousands of lives.
